Mount Sinai Medical Centre plans to provide most modern sophisticated advanced facility (Operation and Recovery Theaters) to take care of already affected patients with latest professional and technological know-how, doctors from India and abroad (U.S.A, UK and Australia) as visiting Surgeons, facilities for Coronary, peripheral vascular angiography, Coronary artery By-pass grafting, Electro-physiological studies and Cardiac transplants procedures" supported by well qualified Nursing Staff & Equipments.
The CCU is planned to provide the victims of heart attack, with urgent and life-saving medical care, including relief of pain, prevention of cardiac muscle damage, in case of cardiac arrest, to provide team coordinated resuscitation and defibrillation to stabilize the acute, critical stage victims. Treatment in the emergency department includes -
- Continuous monitoring of the heart function & vital signs
- Oxygen therapy - to improve oxygenation to thedamaged heart muscle.
- Cardiac medication - (i.e., to promote blood flow to the heart, prevent blood clotting, improve the blood supply, prevent Arrhythmia.
- Thrombolytic therapy - intravenous infusion of a medication which dissolves the blockage, thus,restoring blood flow.
- Coronary angiography and angioplasty
- Rotablation, Atherectomy and stent deployment.
